Страшное другое – они скрипят. Пока надеваете их на голову – скрепят, пока настраиваете их на комфортную посадку – скрепят, даже нажатие на кнопки управления вы слышите. Всё это не очень хорошо и вызывает удивление, т.к. компания Plantronics не первый год на этом рынке, тем не менее, позволяет себе такие детские оплошности в конструкции.
Постоянный скрип конструкции значительно ухудшает первое впечатление от знакомства с Backbeat Go 810.
Но зато у этой модели отлично получились амбушюры. Они имеют правильную форму, такую, которая позволяет целиком вместить уши внутри себя, не задевая их, при этом не выглядя, как чебурашка на прогулке. Внутри не поролон, а пена с эффектом памяти, которая и мягче, и приятнее при долгом прослушивании музыки. Амбушюры получились отличными, к ним претензий нет вообще.
Чаши наушников выглядят приятно, не вычурно и на голове ощущаются легко и свободно. Они могут поворачиваться на 90 градусов, так если снять наушники и оставить их лежать на шее, чаши совершенно не будут мешать и торчать в разные стороны. Это также помогает при складывании наушников в рюкзак или сумку. Однако, чаши не складываются внутрь, хоть это и не является большой проблемой, хотелось бы, чтобы для мобильных моделей этот вариант стал обыденностью.
Но что радует – это цена, она разумная и уж точно не завышенная, как это любят делать некоторые конкуренты. Да, у наушников есть небольшие конструктивные недостатки, но на фоне цены они теряются и уже не кажутся столь серьёзными.
Комфорт при использовании, в моём случае, получился высоким, я без проблем слушал музыку в течение трёх часов, пока работал, голова от наушников не устала, даже уже были в порядке, хоть и немного вспотели. Наверное, нельзя назвать Plantronics Backbeat Go 810 чемпионом по эргономике, но то, что они явно перешагивают средний уровень и стремятся в высшую лигу – очевидно.
Программа BackBeat
Для этих наушников подходит программа BackBeat, ищите её в AppStore или в другом магазине, если у вас смартфон на Android. Наушники быстро определяются, отображается время работы каждой чашки в формате часы/минуты, куча настроек, прямо как в старые добрые времена.
Например, тут можно использовать традиционную схему управления: правая чашка отвечает за Play/Pause, ответ на вызов, а левая — за регулировку громкости. Либо можно активировать сенсор на левой чашке: один или два тапа, то есть два действия, выбрать действие можно самому. Например, на одинарный тап назначаем Siri, ну а двойной тап запустит заранее выбранный плейлист в Apple Music. Хорошо ли это? Да просто прекрасно.
А ещё тут переключается «главный» наушник, можно получить обновление микропрограммы, есть выбор языка (русский поддерживается), активируется HD Voice. Давненько не видел такого впечатляющего списка.
Скажу об этом ещё раз: кнопки на чашках — это именно кнопки, они хорошо нажимаются, сильно давить пальцем не надо. Но при необходимости левая кнопка превращается в сенсор. Такого я никогда не видел.
Но есть и немножко странный момент. В настройках после подключения PRO 5100 определяется сразу три устройства: основной наушник, левый и устройство под названием PLTBBPRO5100BLE. Я всё понимаю, даже наушники Bose видны как два устройства, но три зачем?
Design
The BackBeat GO 810 takes after the features and earcup design of the PRO series and the headband design of the BackBeat 500 series. The whole design appears very stylish and premium until you start to handle the product. The giveaway is the creaky headband that mars the perception, but otherwise the GO 810 is stunning to be seen, especially the “Bone White” colour with copper headband accents.
Compared to the BackBeat PRO 2, the GO 810 comes with 2 ANC modes, lacks ambient mode, and no auto-pause feature. It also connects via Bluetooth 5.0 with SBC codec with no aptX in sight. I certainly prefer the cleaner design of the GO 810.
Playback controls is on the left earcup. Volume adjustment is also more conventional via rocker keys instead of the turn-table on the PRO 2.

То есть при подключении по проводу мы получаем истинное звучание наушников. С первых же секунд чувствуется некоторый акцент на низкие частоты (просто баса, а не суббаса), этот диапазон как бы слегка выступает на передний план и если этих частот в музыке достаточно, то бас несколько доминирует. Но он не забирается слишком низко, и в тоже время он достаточно быстр, не «растекается», то есть бас можно охарактеризовать двумя словами – объёмный и быстрый. Хорошо чувствуется звуковая сцена, её не назвать очень большой, но звук не лишён объёма, нет ощущения что динамики воспроизводят музыку прямо в мозг. Средние частоты, в частности, голоса, субъективно несколько уходят на второй план, я привык что они звучат чуть более ярко и ближе. Пожалуй, высокие частоты несколько резковаты, песка как такового нет, но некоторые нотки звучат резковато, в принципе это не бросается в глаза (точнее, в уши) пока не начинаешь прислушиваться. Чувствительность, надо признать, далеко не самая высокая, хотя при подключении по Bluetooth максимальная громкость значительно выше.
И теперь что касается подключения по «синему зубу». В Plantronics BackBeat GO 600 есть две настройки эквалайзера – обычное звучание и усиление низких частот. В первом случае мы получаем практически такое же звучание, что и при подключении по проводу: некоторый акцент на низких частотах и резковатые верха. Стоит включить второй режим эквалайзера, как наушники начинают в буквальном смысле прыгать на голове от переизбытка низких частот. Их становится очень много, но я как любитель басов не могу сказать, что звук становится дискомфортным. Такое звучание наверняка понравится определённому кругу пользователей, ибо на некоторых композициях такой избыток «давилова» может быть только к месту. Зато из однозначных плюсов этого режима – высокие частоты становятся менее резкими. Но в целом, конечно же, большинству пользователей такой режим вряд ли придётся по вкусу.
При подключении по Bluetooth, как мы уже говорили, максимальная громкость достаточно высокая, так что запас должен быть для самых разных условий прослушивания музыки. Что касается эргономики и удобства пользования, то тут Plantronics BackBeat GO 600 вызывает исключительно восторг. Наушники хоть и полноразмерные, но за счёт конструкции и сверхмягких амбушюр практически не чувствуются на голове. С ними легко можно слушать музыку несколько часов подряд, не испытывая никакого дискомфорта. При этом посадка на голове достаточно надёжная. Конечно, если очень сильно трясти головой, наушники можно скинуть, но при обычной эксплуатации никаких проблем нет. Но вот для бега и активных занятий спортом мы бы их не стали рекомендовали.
Очень удобно нажимаются все кнопки, особенно качелька регулировки громкости, так как располагается она с торца. Использование в качестве беспроводной гарнитуры не несёт никаких сюрпризов – микрофон работает хорошо, голос собеседника звучит вполне привычно. Конечно, жаль, что при проводном подключении гаджет работает исключительно в качестве наушников, но это типичная особенность Bluetooth-гарнитур. Что касается времени работы от одного заряда, то производитель заявляет о 18 часах. У нас получилось около того, так что в зависимости от частоты использования, аккумулятора может хватать и даже на полторы-две недели (например, если слушать музыку по дороге на работу и обратно, и путь занимает полчаса-час времени). Заряжаются наушники достаточно быстро – около полутора часов.
Plantronics BackBeat Go 810 review: Comfort and tit
At 7 ounces, the BackBeat Go 810 is lighter than the QC35 II (8.2 ounces) and WH-1000XM3 (9 ounces). The headset is slim and cozy, and comes with memory foam padding to accommodate all-day comfort.
The ear pads felt gentle on my ears and the headband gave enough support to keep them stable without adding any extra pressure to my skull. The oval shape of each cup was spacious, housed my ears safely and prevented chafing. Also, the extenders are lengthy enough to support larger heads, though you’ll want to set the proper notch level to avoid slippage. I sported the headphones for 5 to 6 hours daily in relative comfort.
Performance
The ANC has two modes, low and high. Our experience was better with high, which is designed to tackle the intense rumble of an airplane or a whirring AC unit, but also seems appropriate for less noisy office settings. While the low setting is intended for these quieter environments, it seems less effective in general.
In testing, the ANC adds some audible high-frequency hiss, which isn’t unpleasant (think tape hiss or white noise, at a low volume), but is usually a sign of somewhat subpar noise cancellation. Then again, these headphones are $150—a low price for any ANC pair, particularly wireless. What the ANC gets right—tamping down loud low-frequency rumble—is impressive for this price range, and the hiss is forgivable. The circuitry thankfully doesn’t have a notable impact on audio performance, either, which isn’t always a given.
The EQ modes of Balanced and Bright offer decent listening experiences, but it’s odd that Plantronics doesn’t allow you to create your own custom EQ. In Balanced mode, the audio packs a sound that is more lows- and mids-focused, while Bright mode is more about treble. Generally speaking, we prefer Balanced mode, but a subtle combo of the two modes would’ve been a more rewarding listening experience.
On tracks with intense sub-bass content, like The Knife’s «Silent Shout,» the headphones deliver powerful low-frequency depth that will appeal to mega-bass lovers and doesn’t distort at top volumes. At more moderate volumes, the lows are still quite intense—this is a bass-forward sound signature, for certain, even in Bright mode (at least for tracks with this much bass presence).
Bill Callahan’s «Drover,» a track with far less deep bass in the mix, gives us a better sense of the BackBeat Go 810’s general sound signature. The drums get some extra bass thunder here, and while things don’t veer into unnatural territory, they come close—they sound far heavier than they would without such intense low-frequency boosting. Thankfully the highs are still relatively balanced here, allowing the acoustic guitar strums to balance things out a bit. Callahan’s rich baritone vocals also get a measure of treble edge to keep things crisp enough that they never sound muddy.
On Jay-Z and Kanye West’s «No Church in the Wild,» the kick drum loop receives less high-mid presence than you might want—its attack loses a bit of its punch, while its sustain gets more thump to it. The vinyl crackle and hum in the background pushes to the forefront here, and the sub-bass synth hits that punctuate the beat are delivered with some real power. So we have boosting in highs, boosting in the lows, and sculpting all the way across the frequency range.
For orchestral tracks, like the opening scene from John Adams’ The Gospel According to the Other Mary, the lower register instrumentation gets some serious added heft. It sounds borderline unnatural in Balanced mode and more natural in Bright mode, which allows the higher register brass, strings, and vocals to retain their crisp presence.
Performance
Hugely impressed with the sound produced from these headphones, considering there affordable price. They offer a very rich and vibrant sound, with enough low end to get me excited. There are two built in EQ’s available, balanced and bright, and there is a subtle difference between the two. For me, I stuck with balanced for the duration of testing. You can easily swap between the presets via the button at the bottom of the right cup. I listened to everything from rock, through to something from the local London grime scene and in all instances, the headphones kept on delivering.
The ANC works very well, although I was unable to tell much of a difference between high & low options. It states high is best used on an aeroplane etc, with low more for street sounds etc. I walked around the busy streets of London, drove in cars, and was more than able to get away from it all & into the music. Turning the ANC off altogether, there was a huge bass boost that became apparant. It was actually quite nice, perhaps too much and I would have liked some of that extra bass utilised in the ANC modes.
The headphones are incredibly comfortable to wear, one of the most comfortable I’ve worn in a long time. The colour scheme is also growing on me. The buttons are responsive and easy to use, although you need to remember which ones which, as at first I did get confused. There are various voice prompts during set up, controls etc which is a nice touch. You can also hard wire the headphones in, if at any point the battery runs out. Fully charged, I’m probably 10 hours in using them and appear to have just under 50% juice left.
Oh, there is a built-in microphone for voice calls and controlling Siri or similar, if that’s your thing.
Overload free
There are two aspects to the noise reduction of the BackBeat GO 810 headphones which are better than most ANC headphones. First, the ANC seemed to be immune to movement noise. The ANC in many headphones produces noise when you’re walking or otherwise moving your head. The BackBeat GO 810 headphones didn’t. I did typically switch it off the noise cancellation when walking around, but only because it’s safer to be able to hear what’s around you.
Secondly, sometimes ANC headphones can produce a crackling sound when overloaded, such as during take-off, particularly in a turboprop aircraft. I didn’t get to experience one of those aeroplanes with these headphones, but there wasn’t the slightest hint of that during take-off on any of four different kinds of jet aircraft I used these on.
One last unusual aspect: the headphones remember the ANC on/off setting, so when you switch them on they’re in the same state as when you last used them. That is much more convenient in my view than most, in which the ANC switches on by default.
Conclusions
When you consider the surprisingly above-average noise cancellation, the Plantronics BackBeat Go 810 headphones are a solid value for $150. If you want the best in ANC, however, you’ll need to spend quite a bit more. The Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones remain our Editors’ Choice, and we’re also fans of the Marshall Mid ANC. If in-ear ANC is something you’re interested in, the Bose QuietControl 30 and Plantronics BackBeat Go 410 are also strong options. If you want noise cancellation on a strict budget and you like a bass-forward sound signature, however, you can’t do much better than the BackBeat Go 810.

Using the app however you can set the noise cancellation to High/Low and off.
The backbeat Go 810 supposedly comes with a noise cancellation button.
This happens when you press the volume up and volume down button and hold down for 2 seconds.
But, myself and many other people who tested out the headphones definitely were not able to work this feature.
With the Backbeat Go app you can personalize your headset EQ by selecting between bright and balanced EQ settings.
In my view there is no fundamental difference between these two settings, therefore you can select whichever setting that makes you happy.
The main features of the application are the ability to control noise cancellation, as well as the EQ and Bass settings.
In truth the application is by no means feature rich. But at this price point, this can be forgiven.
The equalizer was more of a decoration in my view, and was not very useful.
One other feature that is included in the app, that is unique is the find my headphones/headset feature, which predictably helps you find your headphones.
Once you activate the feature on the app, an alarm will sound from your headphones so that you can locate where they are.

Plantronics BackBeat Go 3 доступна в двух цветовых решениях: черном с синим и светло-серым с медным. Нам попался второй вариант, выглядит очень даже симпатично.
Гарнитура имеет покрытие, защищающее от дождя, но это не значит, что можно окунать наушники в воду.
Dual-mode ANC
The dual-mode ANC is adjustable via the BackBeat app. High mode is more aggressive in eliminating the low frequency, while Low mode is less aggressive in the low frequency but also suppressing the high frequency slightly. The result is that under the Low mode, the high frequency does not stick out as much, which is preferred for urban setting with noisy people. To turn on or off the ANC on the headphones, you need to press both volume buttons at the same time, and that is not an elegant method. ANC effect is definitely incomparable to the industry-leading Bose and Sony, but it’s still better than having none, and I thought it is slightly better than the PRO 2 in this aspect.
Look & Feel
The headphones come in a fairly standard, sturdy cardboard box and includes the headphones, a 3.5mm cable, a USB cable & a canvas like carry bag. The headphones are available in three different finishes, Graphite Black, Navy Blue & Bone White. We got sent a pair with a Bone White finish and although it wouldn’t be my first choice, they do look exceptionally smart.
These are over the ear headphones, with thick cushioned, memory foam pads covering your ears, a padded headband and plenty of adjustment to get a comfy fit. They are constructed mostly from plastic, with a plastic & metal headband. The headband is adjustable, and via the metal sections connecting the ear cups to the band, which adds to the premium feel. There is subtle detailing and branding throughout, but it’s well placed and is sympathetic to the overall design. There are several buttons & inputs between the two earcups and they include 3.5mm in, micro USB port, power on/off, play/pause/forward/rewind and ANC on/off.
Overall, I’m very impressed with the build quality & look of the headphones.
Audio Quality
In the BackBeat app, it is also possible to select one of the 2 EQ presets. With ANC disabled, the EQ adjustment is more pronounced. EQ Bright mode brightens up the treble while EQ Balanced bumps up the sub-bass excessively. To me, EQ Bright is rather hard to listen to as the treble is just too bright, while EQ Balanced is too bass-heavy. The best selection is ANC High mode enabled with EQ Balanced, and in this mode, the bass is firm and impactful without excessive sub-bass, while the treble is detailed with sufficient transparency. Compared to the BackBeat PRO 2, the BackBeat GO 810 is tamer on the bass but I prefer the latter’s flatter V-shaped tuning. Thanks to the over-ear closed back design plus ANC, musical details are more forthcoming on the GO 810 than any of the current range.
An unpleasant by-product of the BackBeat GO 810 is the relatively high noise floor when music is streamed. It’s not annoying unless you are particular with audio faithfulness, to which you probably won’t be getting this headphones. Most of the time, the hiss relegates into the background and won’t bother most of us.
